I'm sorry cousin! I hope you will tell us more. I just remembered your blog today after a couple of crazy weeks with DH home and working on our move and doing stuff for MOMs Club full time for two days, etc... Ahhh! Oh yeah and being a mom. Your picture looks great and I'm glad John commented on the painted books cause I was wondering. :) Your yard and house are scary, I hope someone cleans all that up for you! :)
Just for the record, you are anything BUT self absorbed Amanda! You were taking care of yourself and your family, no one can or would expect anything else. As well, K was doing the same. Life takes us all by surprise. You are doing what you can now, and being there for her.
I'm a child of God, wife to my best friend, homeschooling mama to our three precious boys and baby girl, a lover of books and learning, of good food and growing things in the earth, of making things with my hands, singing and dancing.
2010 Leftover from 2009: Finish boys' playroom. Finish my craft room. Make cloth mama pads! Learn to sew clothing. Preserve herbs. Plant along driveway. Little things: Declutter spice cupboard Declutter main closet Sew jammies for the boys. Knit a sweater for Scott. In process! Start 2010 vegetable garden. Practice my guitar. Take my camera off the auto setting! 2009 Pray unceasingly! Take photography class. Remember to use reusable grocery bags. Reduce plastic usage. Prune Mom and Dad's trees. Start tomatoes from seed. Expand vegetable garden. Make cloth napkins. Give up paper towels -- mostly. Bake bread from scratch -- regularly. Reorganize boys' clothing. Garage/workshop remodel. Paint bedroom and bathroom. Switch bedrooms w/boys. Declutter side room. Create a room of my own. Make cloth mama pads. Learn to sew clothing. Preserve herbs.
Unexpected blessings: New driveway poured South flower/herb garden planting
2008 Declutter closets and bookshelves. Get our own chickens! Switch to free-range meat. Compost consistently. Grow first vegetable garden. Harvest from Mom and Dad's trees. Learn to can tomatoes and peaches. Learn basic sewing. Stop using plastic and paper grocery bags.

Thank you, Tammy. You are so sweet. I feel better now after going to the service. She knows I'm here for her when she needs anything.
